
Armando Borg is an established drummer and percussionist who's contributions on various recordings and live shows within the genres of rock, latin, funk, reggae, blues, jazz, soul, hard rock and progressive jazz span over his thirty or so years in the music industry. He has toured the world with Toronto's I Mother Earth, and played with a long list of artists including Stevie Wonder, Hilario Duran, Ivana Santilly, Coconut Groove, Memo Acevedo, Chris Smith Band, Dominic Mancuso, John Pelosi, Bass is Base, Paul Christopher, Ricky Macintosh, Issac Oziel, Paul Toby, and was the founding member of Manteca. His CD "Armando Incognito" received a five star rating from Keyboard Magazine and was sampled by The Brecker Brothers for their last release. He has also performed Fusion Music with The Code, Smooth Jazz with Demo Cates and Chris Smith, Latin and Latin Jazz with HIlton Ruiz and The Gary Morgan Big Band of New York to name a few . Armando has done live performances on the Canadian Idol show (CTV), The Aboriginal Achievement Awards Show and The Toronto Jazz and Beaches festivals as well as a variety of charity TV specials and award shows including Canada's Walk of Fame . He is currently performing with Samba Squad who recently performed at The Guvernment in Toronto.
